Best Of Paint All The Nails

December 15, 2016

Today I have a post that seems a bit poignant to write, our final Paint All The Nails Link-Up.

If this is your first time checking out the work of the Paint All The Nails group, then let me explain. PATN is a small, cosy group of wonderfully talented bloggers who have bonded over nails and we decided to link-up once a month for a bit of fun. You can check out all our past link-ups here if you’d like to take a closer look.

As I mentioned, this will be our last link-up as the group is right now, with many people moving on and becoming busy in other areas of their lives. Because of this, we decided that this would be a great opporunity to honour one another by doing a sort of ‘tribute’ manicure. We have each chosen a manicure created by one of our fellow bloggers from the past link-up’s and our brief was to recreate it. The hardest part of all of this was actually trying to choose just one manicure to recreate!

After scouring through our albums, I decided to honour fellow PATN blogger, IdaNailsIt. I have looked up to Ida for a super long time now, not only for her gorgeous swatches and fun nail art, but her blogging style is a perfect match for my reading style too! If you don’t follow her, you really should! But be prepared, she makes you want to buy things!

I went back six months to our Paint All The Nails Presents Dotticures posts and found Ida’s bold, fun polka dot manicure something that made me feel happy and light, so that had to be it .

Below is Ida’s original manicure, and you can find her original blog post here.

How perfect are Ida’s dots?!!

I tried to do a complete recreation, however didn’t have the same brands of colours so switched that up a bit.

For all my polishes (apart from the orange dots) I’ve used Pretty Serious Cosmetics shades.

My white base is Presence and using a dotting tool I applied Stud Muffin (red), OPI SPFXXX (orange), Honey Puff (yellow), Unmentionables (green), Racy Lingerie (blue), and Snugglebutt (purple). Was totally bummed I couldn’t find my Pretty Serious orange creme, Pumpkin Head. I know it’s here somewhere! I added a coat of Seche Vite to finish it off.

One other thing I tried to recreate however couldn’t was Ida’s hand pose. She must be some kind of amazing because I CANNOT make my hands pose like she does!

Anyway, I hope you’ve enjoyed not only this post, but all our PATN link-ups we’ve done along the way. Link-ups are such great ways to find new inspiration and new bloggers to follow, plus they have always been such fun to participate in. I can’t wait to see everyone else’s posts which should begin rolling in this evening and through the night, so make sure you check back to see everyone’s work pop up below.

It has been an honour and absolute pleasure to be a member of this group of ladies and I will miss our little group immensely <3
