This week I have a couple of Celestial Cosmetics posts for you to share their upcoming releases! Yay for Halloween right?! I think I say this every year and it still hold true. This has to be my favourite time of year for ‘seasonal’ and festive polishes. It even beats Christmas for me!
This year Celestial have produced a trio of polishes inspired by images submitted to the Celestial Stars Facebook Group, and one of the images was mine! Woot! I can honestly say I love all three of these polishes and I think they are super fun for this time of year! Let’s take a look.
First in the Halloween Story is Sinister Squahling, and this was the one I submitted an image for. The scary little Sinister Squashling is, if you don’t know, an badass little pumpkin headed dude from World of Warcraft’s Hallow’s End festival. It’s one of my favourite little pets and I am so glad he has his own polish now!
The polish is a neon orange shade that has little black speckles, a golden overlay and tiny little colour-shifting sparks. I had to photograph it in quite dark shade to try and get the colour right so please excuse my dark photos. I love it. LOVE IT! It applied super easy, just two thin coats and a coat of topcoat. The formula is a little thicker than what we are used to with Celestial, but it didn’t hinder application and to be honest, I prefer my formula’s to be this consistency.
The second polish in the story is Chases The Fairy. Inspired by the vibrant colouring’s of Absinthe and of course, that crazy fairy! This shade has a jelly style base, again a little thicker than usual, but in no way too thick at all. Inside this polish sits a heap of cool black glitter shards. They appear quite flexible to me and did not cause any bumps or catching on one another during application, no sharp bits either as I have found with a lot of polishes that contain shards. I love this one too. It is amazingly bright and has really great depth due to the jelly style formula. My swatches of this one are three thin coats and topcoat.
The final polish in this Halloween Story Trio is Into The Blood Woods. This is a beautiful teal-toned navy blue creme-jelly with lots of cherry coloured sparks and a golden flake shimmer. I did not expect to like this one as much as I did. It looks absolutely stunning on. The formula of this one is again on the thicker side, but is nice and easy to apply. My swatches show two thin coats and topcoat.
I am so happy with this trio and these polishes will be happily adorning my nails this Halloween! I can’t wait to play with them!
The Halloween Story Trio will release individually this coming Sunday, the 25th September in the Australian Store and US Store at 9am ACST. Not sure what time that is in US time as I suck at conversions, but I think it’s about early evening/late afternoon Saturday 24th. You can have your polish shipped worldwide from the US store.
