A couple of days back I showed you the Halloween Story by Celestial Cosmetics which is releasing this weekend. If you missed it, you need to go here to check it out. Well today you’re in for a treat because along with the Halloween trio, Celestial are also releasing a second trio this month as well as their usual LE shade.
This month we’re seeing the Curse Of Miss.Ives Trio which is a collaboration between the owner of Celestial and her assistant, Jacq. You all have seen Jacq around Celestial’s social media and she is just an amazing lady so I am really stoked to see these guys brainstorm together. This trio is inspired by one of the main characters of the show Penny Dreadful, Vanessa Ives, and the colours have been shaped around costumes worn by the character in the show. I have never seen this program in my life, so can’t really comment on the inspiration, but I can appreciate a fine polish so that’s my focus here.
First up in the trio is Demimonde. This is a silky medium grey linear holo with a delicate golden shimmer. It applies very easily and without fault, and although it appears super sheer on the first coat, two coats is all that was needed for my swatches. I love that it still looks grey and not too silver, it’s a very lovely shade that Celestial always produce brilliantly.
Next up is Little Scorpion. This is a tricky one to describe. It has a black base, though not super dooper dark black. It also has a scattered holo sparkle and little silver flakes that sparkle uncontrollably in the sun. There is also some black micro glitter throughout it, which didn’t really add anything to the polish for me, but they did give the polish a slightly textured finish, so you will need topcoat to have a smooth finish on this one. I LOVE shades like this so was really happy this shade was added to the line-up. My swatches show two thin coats and topcoat.
The third and final polish in this trio is Seance (arggghhh I don’t know how to do those funny e’s). This is a rich burgundy with strong linear holographic effect and a strong golden overlay that is just divine! Totally my type of colour, I will adorn this one regularly. My swatches show two easy, thin coats and no topcoat.
As I mentioned earlier, today I am also adding the September LE shade into this post. I adore how this colour has turned out, and I must say, it’s awesome to see some extra vibrant colours coming out of Celestial this month after having a lot of ‘wintry’ and seasonal type shades lately. Bring on the colour!
The September LE is a bright pink-leaning purple creme base and contains holo sparks, stunning blue flakes and shimmer. It’s a real chameleon as it’s definitely pink but has that awesome purple lean because of the flakes. This shade makes me happy! My swatches show two thin, easy coats and one coat of topcoat.
All these stunning shades are releasing tomorrow, September 25th at 9am ACST on Celestial’s Australian and US websites. To stay up to date with the going’s on, make sure you go check out their Facebook group for all release details and sneak peeks.
