Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate Review

September 15, 2016

I recently received a package from Born Pretty Store, which among other items, included this cute Art Deco style floral plate so I thought I’d give it a try out today with a simple nail look. I have tried Born Pretty plates before and been quite happy with the results. Usually you can pick up the images really well and they are cheap on the bank account too which makes them pretty great!

The plate I got was a small round one and the etching on it is a great depth and quite clear. I decided to pair it with my recently reviewed OPI Retro Summer Collection because I thought the design and the colours of those polishes would look hot together.

My base for the stamping was a dry brush using each polish from that collection. I really like how it turned out so of course snapped some images before I went ahead and stamped.

I decided a simple black print would look neat with this so used Celestial Cosmetics & Color4Nails Collaboration stamping black creme, Onyx. I stamped using my Picture Polish large squishy clear stamper. The image transferred mostly fine but I did notice some bit of the image that were missed, particularly on my pinkie finger which was the one I started with. Maybe I just hadn’t got in the motion yet.

I will happily use this plate again, though I will try a different technique next time so the image comes off clearer. I really enjoyed this manciure as I really like bold, black stamping over a colourful base. What do you think?

You can grab this plate (item number 29548) now from Born Pretty Store. If you use my code below, you can get 10% off your entire order.
