If you follow me on Instagram you might have seen some sneak peeks of this nail look yesterday while I was doing it. I am kind of warming up to the Instagram ‘stories’ thing, having never bothered with Snapchat, it’s nice to have something different. What do you think about it?
Ever since I swatched Celestial’s store exclusive, First, Last & Always for it’s release in July, I had wanted to reswatch it and take some photos in natural light. My original post can be found here if you want to check it out. I decided to have a bit of a play with it and added some stamping with one of my new Dance Legend stamping polishes too.
For this swatch I decided to layer the Celestial over a base colour. I applied two thin coats of Pretty Serious Snugglebutt, then applied two thin coats of First, Last & Always. I topped it off with a coat of Seche for some extra shine! The above image is taken in the shade outdoors. You can see the gorgeous blue sky reflecting in my nails. I am loving this sunny Winter weather!
Once it was all dry I did a simple stamping pattern using Fairytale 002 plate from AiyooHehe and Dance Legend’s Violet stamping polish. This was my first time using a stamping polish from their range and I was so impressed with it’s performance. Definitely a winner.
I was clearly feeling ambitious yesterday so I decided to apply a matte topcoat to the manicure too. So below we have it with one coat of Pretty Serious Matte All The Things. Ugh, How stunning!
I really, really loved this manicure, especially the way those flakies peeked out from beneath the stamping.
You can get your hands on Dance Legend’s stamping line here. And if you haven’t got hold of First, Last and Always yet, you can grab it at either Celestial’s Australian or US stores with worldwide shipping available from the US shop. They also have a celebration code happening at the moment for a 20% discount store-wide. So you can grab this, and others, and save. Yassss!
Take advantage of it with the code ‘celebrate20’.
So how do you like your flakies? Shiny or matte? Let me know below!
