Wow! Let me tell you what a week I have had! Firstly, my computer broke. Busted. Screwed!
So I got a new one and spent the last two days trying to recover images from the old computer and load, re-install and get this new one running. And I think I’m there, other than one or two little glitches. Gosh, talk about frustrating as hell.
And if I may rant a little longer, Facebook still wont let me change my name. I am being quite persistent with them, but I’m losing heart, because let’s face it, Facebook is kinda atrocious right?! So I am thinking if they don’t let me change my page name, I guess I’ll start a group or something. A group might be nice because then people can interact with me better. It’s lousy to have to start all over again there, but I guess that’s the way it goes sometimes.
The great thing that happened. I figured out how to change my favicon. Oh yes! I am becoming computer savvy 😉
So let’s look at what we’re here for. Today I have two gel polishes from Dance Legend’s Prism line. I was SO excited to check these out having never owned any actual holographic gel’s before and I must say, I was so stoked with how they worked. This line currently consists of 12 shades with basically a colour to suit everyone. The two I chose are pretty standard, but great to try out for the first time.
First up is Absolute. This is your basic silver holographic polish, jam-packed full of a nice, strong scattered holographic effect. I really, really loved this shade, and I also like that it seems sheer enough to be applied over other base colours as well as being able to be worn on it’s own as I have done here.
Application was lovely. The gel applied evenly and smoothly, levelling itself well. I experienced no bald areas with the holo pigment spreading itself perfectly on the nails. My swatches of Absolute are just two coats with Dance Legend Gel Polish Topcoat.
Next up is Drones. This is a raspberry coloured scattered holographic . The holo in this is not quite as strong as Absolute, but still quite nice.
This one applied as nice as Absolute too, being even, although a touch more sheer. My swatches here show two coats, and although there was no real smile line showing I felt like I could have done with another coat.
My overall thoughts of this line based on these two shades are, I love them! I would happily try more from this line, especially for the sunny days. They look gorgeous in the sunshine, and I always find plain holo polish chips really fast on me, so these being gel is awesome. I’ll also mention that removal of these caused no issue at all. I soaked for ten minutes then gently pushed the gel off my nail with a cuticle tool and my nails were intact and healthy underneath.
You can get your hands on the Gel Prism range now from Dance Legend’s Store where they ship worldwide.
What do you think? Would these be something you would try?
