Today I have two stunning new shades by Emily de Molly to share with you. And, brace yourselves! Because I will likely have another post up later today with some more new shades to show you! Can’t remember the last time I posted twice in a day!
It is tragically wet here today so I can think of nothing better than having movies going and writing on here with you guys. I hope you enjoy these pretties.
The first shade I’m sharing is Impenetrable Cloak. This is a vibrant, medium blue shade with a metallic finish and tiny multichrome flakies throughout. The metallic blue shimmer is extremely strong and gives the polish a really lovely finish, particularly in the shade.
The consistency is lovely, neither too thick nor too thin, and the application of nice thin coats will avoid streaking of the shimmers in the polish. For my swatches I applied two thin coats and one coat of topcoat (Picture Polish Top’n’Base). The polish is highly pigmented and does have the potential to cause staining, so I would recommend wearing a protective base coat underneath this one.
The next polish, and my favourite of the two is Enchanted Dagger. This is such a beautiful colour, I could stare at it all day! Enchanted Dagger has a creme style base, leaning the slightest towards jelly, in a vibrant orchid colour. In the sun, it tends to lean more pink however in the shade it leans more the lilac shade. It is almost neon in appearance!
Inside the sauce is a strong golden shimmer and tiny blue leaning multichrome flakes.
The polish applies well, slightly thicker in constancy to Impenetrable Cloak, but definitely not thick in the way of causing issues with application. This polish dries to a matte finish so you will need a topcoat to bring out the shimmer and make it glossy. For my swatches I’ve applied two medium coats and topcoat (Picture Polish Top’n’Base)
Both these polishes will be available this Sunday, the 5th of June at Color4Nails 3pm pdt.
Oh, and keep your eyes out for some fabulous nail art I did using these two shades coming up next week! They both work so well together!!
