Today I have some products to share with your from Australian brand, Sea Siren Cosmetics. Sea Siren Cosmetics produces a full range of nail care products free from synthetic ingredients, free from toxins and not tested on animals. They are also stocked by a number of retailers throughout the country, including new online store, Beautiful Aurora.
Beautiful Aurora stocks a wide range of Sea Siren Cosmetics as well as other Australian-made hand and face creams. Make sure you check out the store!
Onto the polishes! I have seen Sea Siren around for ages, and long admired their beautiful creme polishes, however, sadly had never tried them. So when Anna from Beautiful Aurora contacted me, I thought this would be a lovely opportunity to try the brand.
I was sent three regular cremes, a vibrant red shimmer polish and a base/topcoat combo.
Sea Siren Cosmetics package in these cute round bottles which I actually thought would be unstable, but they’re not. They’re actually quite sturdy. The brush inside is full-size, on the thinner side, but soft to use. Each polish comes packaged in a box (not shown) that has colour indicators on the top as well as a peek-a-boo hole in the front so you can see your polish inside.
Temptress is a punchy orange toned red polish. Consistency and finish is mid-way between creme and jelly. It also contains a lovely golden shimmer which is very evident on the nails, however tricky to capture on camera.
Temptress covered evenly in two thin coats and I really loved how it looked on.
Pamper Me Pink is a warm peony pink creme, very flattering and very pretty!
Again this covered evenly, needing only two thin coats for full coverage.
Sea Mist is a traditional powder blue creme, replicating a fresh morning sky.
As with the others, this applied evenly with just two thin coats.
Sea Fog is a lovely medium grey creme. I loved this one and actually wore it for a wear test to really give the brand a good go! My swatches show two thin coats of Sea Fog.
Lastly I was sent Sea Seal which is a multi-purpose base and top coat. I rarely experience staining so could not truthfully comment on that aspect of the product, however I gave it a good run as a topcoat and was quite impressed with it. It has a medium consistency and what I would say a medium dry-time. The dry time is not an issue for me when it protects the polish so well. I wore this over Sea Fog for about five days and experienced no chipping, wear, loss of shine or anything. It also does not shrink your colour underneath. I am really happy with this topcoat and it will be made well use of in my arsenal for sure.
I was super impressed with the high quality of these polishes. The cremes were all so smooth and easy to apply. I will definitely be on the look out to increase my creme range using this brand.
You can find these polishes by Sea Siren Cosmetics at Beautiful Aurora’s store. I believe they only ship to customers within Australia for now. While you’re there make sure to check out the Lanolin Beauty products. They look great and as with Sea Siren are completely Australian made.
