Today I have a post that features two polishes by Russian brand, Bow Polish. Bow Polish, as far as I know, is owned by Dance Legend and kind of a spin off, perhaps marketed to those wanting a more ‘higher class’ looking item than the regular Dance Legend range.
The look of the range is very different than Dance Legend, however it contains mutually unique polishes, that are definitely reminiscent of the Dance Legend line. The polishes are presented in a small rectangular bottle that comes neatly boxed. One of the predominant features I have always noticed about this brand, is the absolutely stunning glamour shots used to promote the brand. Let’s see how the polishes live up to the promo images!
Northern Lights is a multichrome polish that moves through various shades of blue to turquoise and green. It also has tiny little holo flakes through it which add a really nice touch without taking over the beauty of the polish.
The polish was a bit thicker than I expected making the final appearance less smooth than I expected which was disappointing. Regardless, it is still a beautiful polish. My swatches show two coats with topcoat.
Next up is Rings Of Saturn. This is such a pretty polish! It has a dark green/teal base colour and is filled with multichrome flakes and violet to blue shimmer.
I applied two coats and one coat of topcoat for my swatches.
This was my first time trying this brand, and while the polishes themselves are beautiful, what I really don’t like about them is the bottle or brush. Especially with the thicker style of polish, I found the brush extremely awkward to use, stiff and thin. I would much prefer the same polishes with the Dance Legend bottles and brushes.
I have a couple of the thermals to show you too, but that is going to wait until the weather here cools off a bit. Why I thought it would be a good idea to try and swatch thermals when the weather is in the high 30’s is beyond me. Next time I will think ahead a little better!
Have you tried Bow Polish? What did you think of them?
