I recently purchased and received my very first order of Hit The Bottle Stamping polishes, and of course I wanted to use them all immediately. I decided it would be the perfect time to try my hand at double stamping as it was a technique I’d seen a lot of but never tried.
I’m still not sure how I feel about these, but at least I have this blog to document my progress. So without further ado, here is my first double stamping attempt!
I was wearing my Dance Legend Ksenia (#24) from their Binary range already. As I’ve already said, I’ve worn this polish a lot, both on it’s own and as a base for different looks. It’s a great, neutral grey.
I chose Purple Reign and Watermelon Splash from Hit The Bottle to stamp with.
Hit The Bottle is an Australian based polish business who specialize in Stamping Polishes. I’ve tried a few of them now, and have been super impressed with their vibrancy and the way they stamp.
I used a section from EDM15 to stamp with.
I think I like how it turned out. I found that for this one my stamping was a little patchy, my fault, not the products. And, because I chose the same pattern but reversed it for the different colours it wasn’t particularly contrasting.
What I do like about it is the fact it looks a little like random ‘scribble’ on my nails. I like that look!
What do you think of these? Have you got any tips for me with regards to double stamping?
Keep an eye out next week for my attempt at triple stamping! It was a bit exciting!
*The Dance Legend products were sent for review. The Hit The Bottle were purchase by me.
