Let me tell you a little story.
When I ‘discovered’ Australian indies it was around May 2013. Yup, American indies were on my radar first, believe it or not, Aussie’s were my first purchase. I dove in pretty hard. It was a swift love affair.
Some time around then, Lilypad Lacquer released True Blood as part of their Colour My World collection. It was mentally added to my list of polishes I would probably love, only later to discover it was gone. Yes it had been replaced with other versions. But the one I wanted was gone. GONE!
I bought other versions but I wasn’t satisfied. I’m not sure I ever would’ve been satisfied. Isn’t it funny how that works?
Lesson #1- If you think you’ll like a polish, a lot, grab it, own it.
There was a whole heap of shenanigans. And then the hype. The hype-causing inflation. Heck! I just wanted the damn pretty polish already.
Fast forward two years, and I was lucky enough to finally, at long last, get my lucky little hands on a bottle. Relief. Appetite satiated. And was it worth the patience and perserverance?
Squishy. Jelly. Vampy. Berry. Holo. Iridescense. Depth. Flaming. Rainbow. Dark. Soul Shattering Love. Yes!
Worth every minute I waited. All (approximately) 1,051,200 minutes.
