Vintage Love Package – Hosted By Help Me Ronda

February 14, 2015

Happy Valentine’s Day Lovers xx

Today I have a very ‘fitting’ little box of goodies to share with you. Created exclusively for Valentine’s Day with products made especially for this box we have a collaboration between Help Me Ronda, Emily de Molly, and Loki’s Nail Vinyls.

I forgot to take a photo of the box before I ripped it open (bad blogger), but I assure you it was beautifully packaged with a vintage heart tag and ribbon, and just looked gorgeous. Inside the package are the following products;

Help Me Ronda Hydration Balm in Sweet Rose

Help Me Ronda Rub-A-Dub-Scrub in Sweet Rose

2 sets of Rose vinyls by Loki’s Nail Vinyls – 1 set each of Red & Black Roses

Vintage Love nail polish by Emily de Molly

I’ve previously reviewed some Help Me Ronda products here, and to this day, they are still one of my favourite indie care brands. Especially in Australia I have a really hard time trying to locate good quality indie care products, so that heavens for this company.

The Hydration Balm has a very delicate scent, not a ‘rosy’ as I thought it would be which I actually liked, as strong rose scents can be overpowering at times. Instead the rose scent is cut with a sweet vanilla aroma that is elegant and delightful. The balm lives up to the expectation I have of all Help Me Ronda’s balms. It moisturises extremely well and doesn’t leave a heavy, oily coat on your nail and skin. I’m super glad to have this in my cuticle care stash.

The Rub-A-Dub-Scrub blew me away. I reviewed the very first Rub-A-Dub-Scrub that was released by Help Me Ronda last year, and I’m very pleased to say that this creation has only improved over time. The ‘scrubby’ parts are evenly distributed through the product. I didn’t need to pre-stir it before use this time which is excellent. And that scent. The same aroma as the Hydration Balm, Rose with Vanilla tones, a bit stronger smellingΒ in the scrub, and perfectly balance with no scent overpowering the other. This product is a real treat for me to use. I use it all over my body for a fresh, clean body treatment. Love it!

I created a little mani using the polish and the vinyls.

Emily de Molly created Vintage Love exclusively for this box. It wont be found anywhere else. It’s a perfect red microglitter with golden highlights. The base is actually a deep pink colour, and there is a tonne of glitter which applies very nicely. I applied two easy breezy coats for this mani. The glitters have a stunning metallic look on the nails and sparkle so well. I’ll have to re-swatch it sometime because I did this last night and could only get photos done during the evening unfortunately.

I applied one of the red roses from the Lokis Nail Vinyls set on a feature nail. I was really impressed that the whole tiny rose stem and leaves pulled away. This brand must really have and excellent machine for making these vinyls as usually I’m used to parts of delicate vinyls like these being tricky with use and tearing when trying to get them off the backing paper. The mani looked really cute.

I think this box would make a lovely gift for someone, or even just to spoil yourself, and recommend it for any time of the year. That polish is sooo stunning and smooth! I’d love to see the Sweet RoseΒ scent stick around in Help Me Ronda’s store too as it’s something I think everyone would enjoy.

I believe there are still a couple of these exclusive packages left for purchase for any of you who might be interested. They will however only be available within Australia due to shipping regulations with nail polish. You’ll find the Vintage Love Package at Help Me Ronda.

And, did you notice? Well I’d say you did since the mani isn’t metallic looking at all… I finally got some nice professional lights and have been practising my lightbox images to give you another look at the polishes I show. Still a learning curve, and not totally convinced I’ll love it but we’ll see how it goes. What I am loving about it is being able to swatch anytime I like.

I hope you’re having a lovely weekend whatever you’re up to

Chris xx
