Today I have an exclusive polish created by Polished By Kpt for Femme Fatale Cosmetics. Her name is Meggie.
I just love when polish makers name their polishes girls names. For some reason I always call them girls, and refer to them as an older guy would his most prized automobile, maybe it’s because of the paint work? Maybe I’m just mental? Who knows?
Meggie is a classical KPT shade, being that she is a thermal with a couple of other interesting (and beautiful) aspects.
Meggie is a sheer, mystical greyed lilac base with a light dash of holo, pink/purple/gold shifting flakies, and a lilac shimmer.
When warm, it stays that ethereal gossamer shade, and when cold transforms to a darkened grey/lilac colour.
For my swatches I applied three thin coats of Meggie, and one coat of topcoat. Please excuse the water dripping from my nails in some of the images. Lately we’ve had 30+C and swatching thermals is so painful because you can sit your fingers in icy cold water and then you have about 3 seconds to get the photo before the polish warms up again. Oh, the trials of living in a warm environment.
Meggie is a very graceful, beautiful polish. Extremely sheer, so I’d like to try it layered over a solid base colour sometime too. I only wish it had been cooler here, that way I could’ve enjoyed the thermal shift a little more. I look forward to doing more fun work with thermals in winter.
