Today I have three of American indie brand, Shimmer Polish to show you. Shimmer Polish has a huge range of glitter based polishes, all with teeny, tiny, glitters that really give your nails some sparkle.
As well as being able to achieve full coverage easily with this brand, they are super versatile for nail art and one of my favourite ‘go to’s’ now for glitter gradients. I did these swatches a couple of months ago, and have just not gotten around to posting them until now.
I love Eva. This one has a beautiful magenta jelly base with magenta, gold, and matte black microglitters. It has a squishy look on the nails. For my swatch I used a ruby red base (Bio Sculpture 20) and applied two coats over the top with one coat of top coat. The base colour was completely unnecessary and I can’t remember why I did it. This polish would be opaque with just two-three coats on it’s own.
Absolutely packed full of golden and holo microglitter, Irene is absolutely stunning on it’s own and for use a s feature nail. Another Shimmer Polish I adore. I applied three thin coats to achieve full coverage for these swatches, and one coat of top coat.
Alessandra has a very pale, red tinted base, which makes this one great for layering over a similar coloured, or dark, base. For this swatch I applied a ruby red base (Bio Sculpture 20). I then applied two coats of Alessandra on the feature nails. I used studs from Emily de Molly, and then mattiefied the look with Celestial Cosmetics Anti-Matter Matte top coat. The polish has a Christmassy feel to it with it’s red, green and silver microglitters, so I can see this one coming in handy around the end of the year.
