Femme Fatale Cosmetics- Anniversary Trio

September 26, 2014

Today I have a very special trio of polishes from Australian Artisan brand, Femme Fatale Cosmetics. To celebrate their 3rd anniversary, Femme Fatale have brought us three stunning bottles of sauce, each one with a different finish, each one amazing in it’s own right.

I have a lot of photos for this post, in fact, an obscene amount, because I couldn’t narrow it down any more. Too much beautiful I just have to share with you!

Imperial Eve has a deep purple, inky coloured base that is packed with a beautiful golden and copper shimmer. The shimmer in this one is so strong, that in some lighting the polish looks purely golden, however in the sun, the inky base shines through creating for a magical, regal appearance in your nails.

For the following swatches I applied two coats of Imperial Eve on it’s own, with one coat of top coat (Gloss’n’Sparkle’s The Shining).

All photos are taken in direct sunlight.

Neptune Tempest is a sparkly, amazing microglitter. In fact, it’s one of the best micro glitter polishes I have seen for quite a while. Everything about it is perfect.

The polish has a turquoise blue base and swimming in this stunning soup is a heap of blue, aqua, holo and blue microglitters. But wait! That’s not all! On closer inspection the polish reveal these teeny tiny colour shifting sparkles that are divine shifting from blue to a purple/pink colour!

For the following swatches I applied just two coats of Neptune Tempest and it wasn’t hugely textured, so I only need one coat of top coat (Gloss’n’Sparkle’s The Shining). Keep in mind, that polishes such as this are renowned for being exceptionally more sparkly in real life than the camera shows. This one has some serious bling!

The following photos are all in direct sunlight.

The very second I unwrapped this one from it’s bubble-wrapped seclusion it got on my nails. It was love at first sight! Marshlight, named for one of my favourite, most spellbinding environments in World of Warcraft, is a bottle of the most stunning, glowing, goodness. I want to bath in it, and stand up with it’s shifting, glowing goodness, dripping off me in all kinds of ways! Way to much information!

So I like Marshlight, it’s a winner in my books, for sure. It’s description sounds simple. It has medium teal coloured base, and pink and purple glassflecks. No! It’s not that simple. The glass fleck in Marshlight does some pretty spectacular things. Even just chilling in the bottle, it seems to contain a glow from within. And when it’s on your nails, it retains that glow, showing the pink and purple described, but also, a stunning, gold, teal, blue.

It’s. Just. So. Pretty.

For my swatches I applied three thin coats on it’s own, (two coats was enough for opacity though), and one coat of top coat (Gloss’n’Sparkle’s The Shining). The polish is stunning both in the sun, and in the shade, at all angles, everything!
