Get Dressed In Jewels By Jess

March 23, 2014

If you’re anything like me you like to match, even in that ‘unmatching’ way that is, I think, totally awesome. I like to match my nails and my shoes, my nails and my bag, my nails and anything really. Well today I have a fantastic new jewellery line that allows you to match your nails and your jewels.

Jewels by Jess is a NEW Australian business that turns your beloved nail polish into stunning pendants, earrings, bracelets and rings. Every piece is custom made specifically for you, to ensure that you are going to receive a piece that you adore.

Jess sent me two pieces of my choosing to share with you on here today. They all looked lovely to me, so I made my choice based on the colours I tend to wear most frequently and the styles that appealed to my heart. Below are the two pieces Jewels by Jess made especially for me. I chose Emily de Molly, Serenity for the bracelet, and Celestial Cosmetics, Santa’s Blue Balls (now renamed Estrella) for the pendant.

The bracelet I have here is the style B1. A lovely style with intricate details in the bronze toned metal. It is adjustable to fit your wrist, and the rounded edges make it very comfortable to wear. It looks stunning on, and personally I love how the glitter tones in Serenity bring out the bronze in the bracelet. The polish is embedded behind a 25mm x 18mm glass setting, making it durable and beautifully shiny. The bracelet is quite sturdy feeling, not flimsy or poor quality.

For my pendant, I chose a classic style that could be a statement piece or a nice simple addition to my outfit. The pendant is also bronze-toned and I decided on a large size, 25mm. The style is named E. Once again the polish is placed behind the glass setting. I did notice with this one of mine, the polish in the pendant wasn’t as dark as what the actual polish is. I believe this could be because there is no backing on the glass in this piece. However it retained the holographic nature of the polish, and even though a fraction lighter, the polish is still the same tone as the original bottled version.

For those who are perhaps not familiar with specific nail polishes, Jess has a huge range of ideas to inspire you both in store, and on her Facebook page. Although Jess’s list of polishes that she has available is extensive, if there is something specific that the nail fanatic in you wants, all you have to do is contact her, and arrangements will be made to produce the piece you desire. Please remember that these pieces of jewellery are dress pieces, therefore I recommend that you do not immerse them in water, and store them in a cool, dry place.

I have been wearing both of these pieces around at various times since I received them, and they have always struck up a conversation, and most people are amazed that you can purchase items as beautiful as these. They are both exquisite and extremely affordable.
