Early post for me this morning, I was meaning to write this last night but was ill all day yesterday, that’s what I get for not drafting my posts in advance.
Today I have three polishes that were sent out to me for swatching and review by Emma of Love Thy Polish. These were sent with the holographic polish, Halo, which I reviewed on here a couple of days ago. If you missed that post, click here.
These three are from Love Thy Polish’s new Speckled n’ Freckled Collection, which consists of 10 new polishes. Five are speckled n’ freckled pastel crellies, and the other five are speckled n’ freckled bright jellies. I am really loving this entire collection because of it’s simplicity, which adds to its beauty, also it is entirely different to anything else I’ve been seeing around from other companies.
First up we have Lilacadaisical, a pastel purple crelly, which I just love, it is the cutest, and I purple is one of my favourite shades. I did three very thin coats for these swatches as I really wanted to get the most of the crelly effect. This polish was so easy to apply, the brushes perfect, I didn’t have to do any clean up at all, it just went on the nail perfectly, which honestly, I’ve put down to a great formula.
The other pastel crelly I have to show you is called Smoke & Dust. This one is a grey pastel with again, the black speckles n’ freckles. It’s beautiful on the nail. If you like greys, you’ll love this one. Again, amazing application, which makes all these polishes easy for anyone to use. I also did three thin coats for these swatches.
The final polish of the Speckled n’ Freckled collection I have for you is called Sonic Blueprint. It is one of the five jellies in this collection. It is a stunning electric blue with the black speckles n’ freckles. Application again was a breeze. I had originally layered three coats on it’s own, however, I could still slightly see my free edge which I don’t particularly like the look of. In the end, for these swatches, I layered two coats over a base coat the same shade of blue. It didn’t lose it’s jelly effect and added a more solid base for the polish to shine, so I’d definitely recommend using a base under this particular polish. When you first see the polish in the bottle it can appear a little ‘dirty’. This is simply because of the blue jelly mixed with the black speckles. Once applied to the nail, the blue jelly actually shines beautifully, and the speckles really give it some oomph.
These polishes are available NOW from Love Thy Polish. Visit the website to take a look. Not only are all the Speckled n’ Freckled collection gorgeous, the new holo’s added to Emma’s core range are amazing, and I’ll be snapping up some of them myself.
Thanks for reading.
