****Warning**** Huge Post! Grab a cup of coffee 🙂
I’ve been eagerly awaiting my chance to be able to do this post. It contains a bit of a monumental moments for me (a lot of m’s there). Some may consider my monumental moments small and minor, not me, I am chuffed 🙂
I recently did a swatch of a Glittering Elements nail polish that was released in the January What’s In-die Box, called Party Animal. It was a beautiful polish and I was very happy with it. I had heard of Glittering Elements, but didn’t know too much about the company or the owner, Casey. Imagine my surprise when I was contacted by Casey to be her swatcher! She liked what I did, and wanted me 🙂 This is the first swatch position where a maker has sought after me, and requested me, I didn’t have to ask or apply and feel mediocre knowing the competition I am usually up against! Squeeeeee! Someone actually wanted and liked enough to ask after little old me! So I think I can safely say now, that I get to show you new shades and swatches of older releases as they become available in the Glittering Elements restocks.
So let’s have a little introduction, a bit of a hello to Glittering Elements.
Glittering Elements, I have discovered has been ‘flying under the radar’ here in Australia for the last 7 months. I cannot, for the life of me figure out why. I did a fair bit of research into this brand and discovered a whole world of undiscovered beauty. That is, undiscovered to me. Since Glittering Elements ‘opened it’s doors’ around June of 2013, creator Casey has been toiling away, producing little bottles of amazingness that the rest of the world have fallen in love with, so if you’re from France, Canada or America, you have probably heard of this brand before I did. Well, shame on me, and shame on all the other swatchers who buy their nail polishes for not bring us some glittering love. Prior to opening, Casey had spent almost a year, experimenting, researching, sourcing products, and gathering her ideas, to turn what was once a hobby into a blossoming business.
Glittering Elements tries to release a couple of new shades every month, and then, during restocks, Casey rotates and releases only the very best shades for purchase. Glittering Elements is on Facebook, and this is where she let’s us all have ‘sneak peaks’ of what will be coming up. But now I can happily say, that, as well as following Glittering Elements on Facebook, I will be able to show you swatches of polishes that will be released at the restocks. I am so happy to share this with you all.
In my research I did a little search of the hashtag glittering elements on Instagram, and boy, I found an untapped page of wealth! I discovered beauties I had to have. Glittering Elements current branch appears to be the creation of holographic nail polish although definitely not limited to holo’s. And they are so different to any other I’ve tried. The pigment is totally different. They are just ‘unique’, in a good way. I had a little ‘order’ put together in about two minutes and this is where I discovered a holo polish called Rainbow Moonstone.
Of course, you don’t know me, but I’m into crystals and such, I have been for about 25 years now. I have an obscene collection of them, my pretties, as my children call them. Of all that I own, the rainbow moonstone is my favourite. I hold it with much love. I’m not going to make this a spiritual type of post, but a brief update on the Rainbow Moonstone so you can learn it’s power. It has many wonderful properties, that, woman in particular can find all encompassing. It soothes, it brings calmness and awareness, it sustains and supports all kinds of growth, and it has ‘feeling’. It is intuitional and emotional, and is ‘cyclic’, just like a woman. I can always feel when I am or I’m not wearing mine, which is quite a large one.
The moonstone has a milky appearance, with flashes of colour in it’s many facets. Well, Casey of Glittering Elements, has, quite simply, bottled the beauty and the grace of my favourite stone. The polish is holographic and has a milky sheen, but when flashed in light as rainbow of warmth radiates from the polish. Surprisingly, when the polish is shown to half-light it has a beautiful misty blue that shines, just like the moonstone itself. This polish has 100% captured the ‘essence’ of the Rainbow Moonstone. Prepare yourself now for the photos.
Stunning! Stunning! Stunning!
Thanks for reading. Have a great night.
