Marine Dream- My Nemisis

December 2, 2013

Hi!

Tonight I’m going to show you a beautiful holographic polish from Love Thy Polish, Marine Dream.

Even as I write this, I sigh. I have used this polish so many times since I bought it two months ago, and each darn time, the sun would disappear and I would end up with mediocre photo’s! I really began to think this polish was my arch enemy. This time I planned my attack!! Yesterday I began thinking about it. We had our last rainfall a couple of days ago, and the conditions were looking just right for the holo’s. Today I woke up thinking, I’m going to get it if it kills me! LOL. I had some good indoor photo’s but, you know I hate indoor, artificially lit photography. If you missed that post, skip back to here.

Back to my stealthy holo swatching plan! This afternoon I had some spare time, and went ahead. As it was drying (might I add, very fast for an indie), I stalked the house looking outside, waiting for storm clouds to start rolling in, or just for the sun to begin playing hide-and-seek. To my surprise, it didn’t happen. Yes!! I won the Marine Dream battle!

So without further ado, I bring to you Marine Dream, by Love Thy Polish. An absolutely gorgeous green/blue linear holo with a very pronounced rainbow. I don’t know what these polish makers out in the desert get up to, but in my (limited) experience so far, the two makers I know of that reside in hot, Central Australia, make the most spectacular holo’s I have ever seen.

Isn’t it amazing! The base pigment has a lovely depth, and look at those rainbows! Application was a dream, I’ve used two coats, no base or top coat. As I said earlier, dry time was fast. I’m loving these holo’s for our hot Aussie summer.

In closing, thank goodness I finally got to show you Marine Dream. I can now rest!

Have a great night.
